About Us

Siyad Ma is CEO, co-founder and former Expedera’s VP of Engineering. Previously, he led Algorithmic TCAM ASIC and IP teams for Cisco Nexus7k, MDS, Cat4k/6k. Siyad brings over 25 years of experience driving ASIC design and DFT at Spanslogic (Cisco), Zettacom (IDT), Chameleon, and AMD. He holds a PhD EE from Stanford.

Da Chuang is the Executive Chairman, co-founder, and former CEO of Expedera. Previously, he was co-founder and COO of Memoir Systems, an optimized memory IP startup, leading to a successful acquisition by Cisco. At Cisco, he led the Datacenter Switch ASICs for Nexus 3/9K, MDS, CSPG products. Da brings over 25 years of ASIC experience at Cisco, Nvidia, and Abrizio. He holds a BS EECS from UC Berkeley and an MS/PhD EE from Stanford.

As Chief Scientist, Sharad brings his extensive experience in software-hardware co-development to enable efficient AI processing. Sharad is an expert in AI frameworks, power-aware neural network optimizations, and programmable dataflow architectures. Previously, he was an architect at Cisco, Memoir Systems (Cisco), and Microsoft. He holds a BTech from IIT Kanpur.

Paul is VP of Marketing at Expedera. He brings a talent for transforming new technology into products that excite customers. Previously, Paul was VP Marketing at PLDA, specializing in high-speed interconnect IP, until its acquisition by Rambus. Before PLDA, he was Senior Director of Marketing at Rambus. Paul brings more than 20 years of marketing experience including Quicklogic and Aptina (Micron). He holds a BS in Management and Marketing from Manhattan College.

James Lin is the General Manager, Asia Pacific for Expedera. Before Expedera, James was President of OEM/ODM Partnerships, Technology, and Electronics Manufacturing at Primax Electronics, where he led the company’s activities in the US automotive, consumer, and security markets. James brings more than 30 years of experience in business and management at Darfon, BenQ, and Acer. He holds a BS in communications from the University of Southern California.

Wendy Wu is the VP of Business Development and Product at Expedera. With almost 20 years of engineering and business roles at Cadence, Cavium, Broadcom, NetLogic, and Aeluros, Wendy offers expertise in semiconductors and IP. Wendy has an EE from Peking University, a Masters in EE from the University of Virginia, and an MBA from Santa Clara University.

Costas Calamvokis is Chief Architect at Expedera, leading the company’s research and development of next-generation architectures and tools supporting the evolution of AI. Prior to Expedera, Costas held increasingly senior engineering and management roles at Intel, Barefoot Networks, PMC-Sierra and HP Labs. Costas holds 14 patents.

Jeff Xue is the Vice President of Engineering at Expedera, leading the company’s engineering and product development teams. He previously held various engineering leadership roles at Cepheid, Jax Consulting, Invisage, and Omnivision Technologies. Jeff holds a BS in Engineering from Harvey Mudd College and an MS/PhD in Electrical Engineering from Stanford.
